Hello Folks! Thank-you for giving us this opportunity of telling you something about Avoca Holiday Homes and the Isles of Scilly.

First the islands, a group of a hundred or so islands and large rocks, of which five are inhabited. We are situated twenty eight miles to the south-west of Lands End, Cornwall. The weather and the sea play a most important part in our lives, and yours too if you come and join us for a while. Our winters are mild and our summers are (on the whole) warmer and drier than the mainland and the pace of life is like manana, only not quite so urgent!

Mission

The apartments are on the island of St.Mary's, which is the largest of the group, approximately three miles by two, with a population of about 1700 people. Avoca Holiday Homes are situated on a small hill on the outskirts of Hugh Town, roughly five minutes from the town centre, and one minute from the country. We have a fine view out across the "roads" to Tresco, Bryher, Samson and the No'rard Rocks

Avoca Holiday Homes consists of two apartments, both of one bedroom each, and designed for two persons each, both on the ground floor. AN TIGEEN and HOOPER'S are their names, and they have been fitted out to a very high standard.
